How it works

Three steps, every session.

Trade with your rules in front of you, log it while it's fresh, then look back and see what actually happened.

1

Keep your rules in view

Pop your checklist and rules out on top of your chart — your plan stays in front of you the whole time you're in the position.

2

Log it while it's fresh

Right after you close, log the trade — direction, points, why you got in, how it felt. A small, quiet ritual while the memory's still honest.

3

Look back and see the pattern

Scroll back through your week — the setups that carried you, the headspace that cost you. The same mistakes stop hiding once they're lined up.

Run it for a month, and the stats tab below starts telling you things.

Capture sessions · desktop

Snap as you trade. Log when you're calm.

Filling out a form mid-trade breaks your focus. So on the desktop app you capture your chart in one tap while you trade — then turn the snapshots into journal entries once the session's over.

3 snapsclick, or Ctrl+Shift+S End session

Step 1

Draw your capture area

Start a session and your window steps aside — a crosshair appears, and you drag a box around your chart. Every snapshot grabs that exact area.

Step 2

Snap as you trade

A small widget floats over your platform — with your rules and checklist alongside. Click the camera, or press Ctrl+Shift+S, to grab a snapshot without ever leaving your chart.

Step 3

End, then review

When you're done, end the session and every snapshot lands on a review board. Drag them into trade buckets — entry and exit together.

Step 4

Log each trade

Turn each bucket into a journal entry through a quick form — outcome, size, why you got in. A couple of taps and it's in your journal.

Nothing to reach for mid-trade — and if you close the app, un-logged snaps are waiting when you're back.

The behavioral mirror

See the patterns behind your trades.

The revenge trade and the FOMO entry — but also the patience that quietly pays off. The things the chart never shows you.

RevengeThe trade you take to win it back — right after a red morning.
PatienceThe mornings you sat on your hands and waited for the setup you trust.
BoredomThe setup you'd never take on a busy day, but do on a slow one.
ConvictionThe winner you let run to target, instead of grabbing the first green.

wicknote mirrors these back — and keeps you honest.

The overview

Come back to the stats tab that's kept score.

Win rate, profit factor, and an equity curve you can split by strategy or headspace — so you see which setups actually carry you, and which quietly bleed.

Before you ask

A few honest answers.

How does the trial work?
You get 7 days free — no card required to start. On day 8 you'll need to add a card to keep going; nothing is charged until you do.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes — cancel anytime from your billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals immediately, and your access continues until the end of the current paid period.
Where does my trade data live?
Your journal is stored locally on your machine — not on our servers. We only hold your account email and subscription status. Your trade records, charts, and notes are yours.
Does it connect to my broker?
No — and that's by design. wicknote is a manual journal. Logging a trade yourself is what makes you reflect on it. Broker-connected auto-import shows you what happened; wicknote shows you why.

Start the ritual tonight.
